!!tireness as an antenna {br} I lie on a mattress and I generate sounds with little electronic devices until I fall asleep. {br} By manipulating my audio system I create an environment, a microclimate. {br} The volume is low. The sound is quite discrete. In this case people are in relation with a listening performer rather than with a public adress system. I propose to the audience to share a microclimate I create for me. {br} I use sounds which are rather raw materials than soundtracks. In that way I use pre-recorded sounds in order to have simple manipulations to do. {br} [http://luc.kerleo.free.fr/serendipity/uploads/tirenAnt.jpg] {br} Maybe this performance is linked to the way machines work instead of human beings. I have the idea that more and more our challenge as human being is to be receptive, sensitive in order to detect what are our fundamental and deep needs. {br} The idea of this performance came to me as I had to participate to a performance festival in Szczecin (Poland) just at the end of a busy period as I was tired and wanted to rest a bit. {br} Then I thought how human spirit processes differently regarding our physic situation. I had the idea to embed environmental materials in my sleep to enhance the way my spirit re-creates reality in my dreams. {br} {br} audio devices: - 4 small loudspeakers: discrete diffusion - battery pack: independance from electricity plug, so that the performance can take place anywhere - mixing table: mixing sound sources, filtering frequencies, sending some sources to the effect processor, increasing or decreasing the volume on each speaker, generating tones by feed-backs - digital effect (compilation of echo, modulations, wah-filters, etc.): giving resonances and athmospheres to the mix, generating electro artefacts by feed-back - 2 mp3 readers: playing pre-recorded sound materials - tone and noise generators: tone and noise backgrounds, sliding frequencies {br} -------------------- {br} {html}<a name="mobile"></a>{/html}
